HIGH ARCH
(Pes cavus)
high arch Very high arch, often afflicted with calluses under the metatarsal heads or with claw toes.
REMEDY
remedyChildren:

Adults:
Moulded support with retrocapital pad reducing the plantar arch. Orthopedic shoe.

Moulded support with metatarsal pad relieving pressure points if necessary. Extra-depth shoe.

FLATFOOT
(Valgus foot)
flatfoot In very severe flatfoot, the navicular and the head of the talus are in contact with the ground and the head of the talus is very prominent. The heel and forefoot are usually everted, and forefoot is splayed.
REMEDY

Adults:
Moulded support with correction under the navicular or talus.

Moulded support with heel stabilizer. Extra-depth shoe.

FOREFOOT VARUS
(False flatfoot)
talus valgus No contact: Perpendicular calcaneum. Forefoot greatly everted.
With contact: Collapsed navicular and often subtalar joint appearance of heel spur.
REMEDY

Adults:
Thomas heel. Scaphoid pads. Sole with bevel. Orthopedic shoe.

Moulded support with forefoot stabilizer to compensate for foot biomechanical dysfunction.

FOREFOOT CALLUSES (Clovus)
forefoot calluses Calluses under the 2nd, 3rd and 4th metatarsal heads.
Calluses under the 1st and 5th metatarsal head
REMEDY
remedy Moulded relieving support with metatarsal pad or retrocapital pad.
Extra-depth shoe.

HALLUX VALGUS
(Bunion)
